A Description of IGNITE

IGNITE is a 40 to 50 minute presentation designed to help students grasp a vision for their lives and take personal responsibility for:

  1. Making positive changes in their lives
  2. Making wise decisions about their futures
  3. Aggressively seeking out a challenger for accountability
  4. Charging ahead for reaching their visions and dreams

The goal of the IGNITE presentation is to empower young people to seek out a mentor in the marathon of life. Using the IGNITE booklet as a guide, students will gain a stronger sense of their personal value and help them understand that they do not have to walk alone when making decisions that will affect them for life.

Using the IGNITE principles, students will begin to realize a new excitement and hope for their future. IGNITE will assist them in making wise choices for positive changes and will give them the tools needed to build a solid foundation for accountability.

At the end of the presentation, students will receive an IGNITE booklet. Thebookletwill challenge them to find a mentor who will help them look realistically at their future, challenge them, and hold them accountable as they start this new journey. Mentors will be impressed as students pursue them, request accountability, and display firm desires to make changes in their lives that will enable them to live well.

Who is JR Pittman?

JR Pittman is an international motivational speaker. He has more than 20 years of experience with coaching and mentoring young men and women. He and his wife Evette, have been married 17 years and have two wonderful sons. He attended Cornerstone University and isan ordained minister. He is presently the lead pastor of the HUB Ministries located in Wyoming, Michigan, where he equips a new generation of families and young men and women to “be the church, hear God’s voice, and impact their communities.”

JR Pittman is on the cutting edge, casting a vision for this generation to find their purpose, identity and calling in life.
